17th Urban Mobility India Conference Kicks Off in Gandhinagar

The 17th Urban Mobility India conference began at Mahatama Mandir in Gandhinagar today. Inaugurating the three-day conference, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stressed the important role of urbanisation in the social and economic development of the country during the last 10 years. Speaking on the ocassion, Mr Patel said, the conference will act as a platform for mutual exchange of experiences and developments in the states in the fields of urban mobility and will also help to adopt the standardized solutions for various urban mobility challenges. Over 3,000 dignitaries, including the officials and policymakers of central as well as state governments, are taking part in the conference.

J&K government committed to trained youth for self employment says Deputy CM

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Singh Choudhary has said that the government is committed to catalyzing various youth initiatives for creating a vibrant ecosystem for honing the technical skills of youth so that they can set up their income-generating units and create jobs for others as well.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with a deputation of Heritage Craft instructors today. Mr Choudhary assured the deputations that all the issues highlighted by them would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He said that the government is committed to facilitating the youth in undertaking startup programs and self-employment generating schemes, which would address the issue of unemployment faced by the youth.
