In a major development from Jammu & Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that two more groups affiliated with the Hurriyat Conference — J&K Tahreeqi Isteqlal and J&K Tahreek-I-Istiqamat — have abandoned separatist ideology and expressed faith in the vision of a united and strong Bharat under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah hailed the move as a significant step forward for peace and progress in the region. “Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, separatism is breathing its last, and the triumph of unity is echoing across Kashmir,” Shah said.
This latest shift marks another milestone in the government’s continued efforts to restore normalcy, encourage dialogue, and integrate all sections of society into the mainstream.
Security analysts view this as a clear indication of the diminishing influence of separatist forces and growing public trust in the developmental agenda of the central government in Jammu & Kashmir.
