Narmada District, Gujarat :
In a major boost to rural healthcare infrastructure, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar today performed the Bhumi Pujan for a state-of-the-art Labour, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) Complex at Jetpor, aimed at improving maternal and neonatal care in the region.
In a digitally connected ceremony, Dr. Jaishankar also laid the foundation stones virtually for similar LDR centres at Kolvan and Sagai, further expanding access to essential healthcare services in remote areas of the Narmada District.
Reaffirming the government’s dedication to grassroots development, the minister also flagged off a new ambulance under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for Sub-District Hospital, Garudeshwar. The addition of the ambulance is expected to enhance emergency response and accessibility for residents in and around the region.
“These projects reflect our firm commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that every citizen, no matter how remote their village, receives quality medical care,” said Dr. Jaishankar.
Local leaders, healthcare workers, and residents welcomed the initiative, expressing hope for continued improvements in public health and services in the tribal and rural belts of Gujarat.
