On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, emphasized the urgent need to preserve and protect the planet’s natural resources. In a heartfelt message, he called on citizens to take active steps towards environmental sustainability.
“On this World Nature Conservation Day, let’s renew our commitment to protect and preserve our planet’s natural resources. Every tree we save, every drop we conserve, shapes a better future. Nature gives us life — it’s time we give back,” the Minister stated.
Gadkari, who has consistently advocated for green infrastructure and sustainable development, highlighted the importance of individual and collective responsibility in combating environmental degradation.
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has undertaken several eco-friendly initiatives in recent years, including large-scale plantation drives along national highways, the promotion of electric vehicles, and sustainable construction practices.
As India continues to balance development with environmental concerns, the Minister’s message serves as a timely reminder that conserving nature is not just a responsibility — it is a necessity.
