New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday strongly criticized former Home Minister P. Chidambaram, stating that there is “ample evidence” proving that the three individuals involved in the recent incident were Pakistani nationals.
“I want to tell Mr. Chidambaram that we have numerous proofs that all three were Pakistani. We have the Pakistani voter numbers of two out of the three. We also have their rifles, and the chocolate found with them was also made in Pakistan. And they say they were not Pakistani, which means a former Home Minister of the country is giving Pakistan a clean chit in front of the whole world,” Shah said.
The Home Minister’s statement comes amid an ongoing political debate regarding the nationality of the attackers, with the government maintaining that concrete evidence points to Pakistan.
