New Delhi –
In a major push to promote traditional healthcare systems, the Ministry of AYUSH has approved the establishment of 145 new integrated AYUSH hospitals across the country in the last five years.
These state-of-the-art facilities are aimed at providing holistic healthcare by integrating Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy under one roof, ensuring wider access to alternative and complementary medicine systems for citizens.
In addition to setting up new hospitals, the Ministry has also extended financial assistance for the supply of essential medicines and upgradation of existing AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries, significantly strengthening the infrastructure and delivery of traditional healthcare services.
This move is part of the government’s continued efforts to mainstream AYUSH systems and promote wellness and preventive healthcare, especially in rural and underserved areas. The expansion is expected to benefit millions of patients and generate new employment opportunities in the AYUSH sector.
