Raipur, May 29 — In a significant move aimed at transforming the education landscape in Chhattisgarh, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has announced the rationalization of 10,463 schools across the state.
Describing the decision as a visionary step, Chief Minister Sai said that the initiative is focused on enhancing the quality, inclusivity, and effectiveness of school education. “This is a strong initiative towards making school education better, inclusive, and effective,” he stated.
The rationalization process is expected to ensure the equitable distribution of educational resources, addressing issues such as uneven student-teacher ratios, underutilized infrastructure, and gaps in access to quality education. By restructuring and optimizing the school network, the government aims to provide students with improved learning environments and uninterrupted academic progress.
Officials from the Education Department added that the plan will include merging under-enrolled schools, upgrading facilities, and redistributing teaching staff where needed.
This bold reform is seen as a step forward in the state’s commitment to educational development and is expected to significantly impact the learning outcomes of children across Chhattisgarh.
