CM Devendra Fadnavis Hails National Cooperative Policy 2025 as a Historic Step Toward ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’

Mumbai – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has called the National Cooperative Policy 2025 a “historic step” toward realizing the vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ and building a self-reliant India.

The new policy aims to transform the cooperative sector by making it stronger, faster-growing, and more inclusive, aligning with the broader goals of economic empowerment and grassroots development. Maharashtra, home to one of the country’s largest and most diverse cooperative ecosystems, is expected to play a pivotal role in the policy’s implementation.

“This policy is a game-changer for the cooperative movement,” said Fadnavis. “It will unlock new opportunities, modernize governance structures, and ensure that the benefits of cooperation reach every corner of society.”

The National Cooperative Policy 2025 focuses on:

Promoting digitalization and transparency in cooperative institutions

Enhancing financial support and infrastructure for rural and urban cooperatives

Encouraging youth and women participation

Boosting sectors like agriculture, dairy, housing, and credit cooperatives
