Rewari, Haryana –
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, lauded the inauguration of a major infrastructure milestone by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi — the 14.4 km long Rewari Bypass, developed at a cost of ₹1,070 crore.
Built under the ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojana, the strategic bypass is set to revolutionize traffic management in the region by easing urban congestion and creating seamless connectivity. “This corridor is a testament to India’s growing infrastructure prowess and commitment to economic development,” said Gadkari.
A key highlight of the project is one of India’s largest and heaviest Road over Bridges (RoBs), reflecting the nation’s advancements in engineering and design.
The Rewari Bypass will cut Delhi–Narnaul travel time by nearly an hour, significantly enhancing mobility for commuters and freight movement alike. Local communities are expected to benefit through improved access to employment, markets, and essential services.
Officials underscored the project’s potential to unlock new economic avenues for Haryana and the surrounding regions, reinforcing the government’s vision of building a New India through world-class infrastructure.
