Alipurduar, West Bengal – May 29, 2025:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Alipurduar today, launching a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and accusing it of stifling West Bengal’s development potential through years of misgovernance.
Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, PM Modi said, “West Bengal has immense potential – from tourism and tea to talent – but that potential has been held back due to TMC’s corruption, violence, and lack of vision.”
He assured the people of North Bengal that the BJP is committed to delivering real development, infrastructure, and employment opportunities. “The people of Bengal are ready for change. They want a government that puts progress before politics,” he added.
The Prime Minister also highlighted various central schemes and claimed that despite hurdles from the state government, the Centre remains dedicated to the welfare of Bengal’s citizens.
With elections around the corner, PM Modi’s rally is seen as a key moment in BJP’s campaign strategy in North Bengal, a region where the party has seen growing support in recent years.
