Chandigarh,
In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police foiled a serious attempt to destabilize peace in the state by busting two ISI-backed terror modules operated from abroad. A total of 13 operatives were arrested, and a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, the modules were being directed by Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operatives based in France and Greece. These individuals were working in close coordination with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), to orchestrate terrorist activities in Punjab.
“This is a significant achievement in our ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the state. We remain committed to dismantling such anti-national networks,” said Yadav.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are probing further links and potential targets. The successful operation is being hailed as a major step in safeguarding Punjab from foreign-sponsored terror threats.
