The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana caught Dr. Paul Joseph Goutham, a Veterinary Assistant Surgeon at the Veterinary Hospital in Chinthapally, Nalgonda District, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹6,000.
The bribe was demanded in exchange for issuing a Health and Valuation Certificate for eight buffaloes. Acting on a complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and apprehended Dr. Goutham as he accepted the illegal payment.
The ACB has registered a case and initiated further investigation into the matter. Dr. Goutham will face charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act. This incident highlights the ACB’s ongoing efforts to curb corruption and ensure accountability among public servants in Telangana.
